My name is Emarceen Yusef, and I have Maladaptive Daydreaming. In response to my struggles with maintaining focus while studying, reading, and working, I developed the Focusability app. This tool has significantly reduced the hours I previously spent daydreaming, allowing me to channel my time more effectively. Recognizing its potential to assist others facing similar challenges, I refined the app, enhanced its features, and made it available on the App Store.

Consider a scenario where you are reading a book aloud. If your attention begins to wander into daydreaming, you may inadvertently stop vocalizing your reading and slip into silent daydreaming. Focusability utilizes this behavioral pattern to detect your loss of focus and promptly alerts you to return to your task. To use the app effectively, simply activate the alarm, adjust the sound strength to your preference, and engage in the task audibly. Whether studying, reading, or working, as long as it demands mental concentration, Focusability can assist in maintaining your attention.

Additionally, the app includes various features designed to help monitor your concentration levels and overall productivity.

Focusability has proven beneficial for many individuals with ADHD and ADD as well; thus, it is worth sharing with the ADHD community. I welcome any suggestions or feedback through the contact section within the app.
